“A few years ago I was floundering. I wanted to improve my financial situation and give myself independence but how to go about it? I’d tried stocks and shares, with limited success, and the idea of investing in fine wines or antique hacksaws, or all the million and one ways people dream up, didn’t really do it for me.
I soon identified property as my best way forward (no space here to make the case, but as you’re reading this you probably know it anyway). The thing was, property investing is a broad church, so I needed guidance. Several visits to property seminars were very interesting, hearing speakers and talking to other like-minded people.
The turning point for me came when I attended a talk given by Dominic Farrell. It led to me attending his course on property investing and picking up the basics. A real start had been made.
To cut a long story short, I developed a relationship with what is now Bold Spirit, which has set me fairly on course for financial independence. The action really happened when Distressed Assets was formed, which I joined at the outset. It was what I had been looking for, without necessarily realising it, for years.
I now have a London property, which is renting well and I will probably always keep as a brilliant source of income. Bold Spirit has also recently won for me at auction a Liverpool property, which, after some refurbishment will be let out, ultimately to students, to give a superb return on investment. I’m also waiting for another London property, right next to the Olympics site, to go through conveyancing.
